It explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data received through this website and related communications, as required by Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares), published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on March 20, 2025.

Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you contact us, we may collect the following personal data:
- Identification and contact data: name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country and city, preferred language, preferred contact method and best time to contact you.
- Information about your matter: property location, address or community, property type, ownership document, occupancy, type of legal matter, a description of the matter, the result you are seeking, relevant deadlines and how you learned about us.
- Financial and property (patrimonial) data: whether a contract has been signed, deposits or payments made, amounts paid, who holds the funds, and information about the property and its ownership.
- Information about other people: names of other parties, companies, real estate agents or brokers, developers, escrow companies, banks or notaries involved in your matter.
- Technical data: limited information provided automatically by your browser, our hosting provider and our spam protection service, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, and the page you came from.
We do not request sensitive personal data, such as information about health, ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions or sexual preference. Please do not include it in website forms or initial messages. If a later matter requires sensitive data, we will first ask for your express written consent.
If you give us information about other people, please share only what is needed to identify them. We use it to run a conflict check and evaluate your request.
Why We Use Your Data
Primary purposes. These are necessary to respond to you and, if a matter is accepted, to provide legal services:
- Responding to your inquiry and communicating with you.
- Identifying the parties and conducting a conflict check.
- Evaluating whether a consultation is appropriate, and scheduling it.
- Providing the legal services described in a written engagement agreement, including preparing documents and dealing with notaries, banks, registries and authorities on your behalf.
- Billing, record-keeping, and complying with legal, tax and professional obligations.
- Keeping this website secure and preventing spam and misuse.
Secondary purposes. These are not necessary for the services you request and require your consent:
- Sending appointment reminders by email, telephone or WhatsApp, when you check the reminders box on the consultation form.
- Occasionally sending information about our services or legal updates that may interest you.
You may refuse or withdraw consent for secondary purposes at any time by writing to info@bajalegalsolutions.com. Doing so will not affect your consultation or the services you receive.
Your Consent
When you submit a website form after this notice has been made available to you, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the primary purposes described above.
Because the consultation forms may ask for financial or property information, we request your express consent through the consent checkbox before you submit a form.
You may revoke your consent at any time by writing to info@bajalegalsolutions.com. Revocation is not retroactive, and it may prevent us from continuing to evaluate or handle your matter. Some information may be kept where the law or our professional obligations require it.
Service Providers and Transfers
We use service providers that process personal data on our behalf and under our instructions, including website hosting, email delivery, spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and messaging services such as WhatsApp. Some of these providers may store or process data outside Mexico, including in the United States.
We may transfer personal data without your consent when Mexican law allows it, for example:
- To notaries public, banks acting as trustees, public registries, tax or other authorities, and the counterparty or its counsel, when necessary for a contract or transaction entered into in your interest, or to maintain our legal relationship with you.
- When required by law, a treaty, a court order or a competent authority.
- When necessary to recognize, exercise or defend a right in judicial proceedings.
Baja Legal Solutions does not sell personal data and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not carry out transfers that require your consent. If that changes, we will ask for your consent before making any such transfer.
How to Limit the Use or Disclosure of Your Data
You may ask us to stop using your data for secondary purposes, to stop sending reminders or follow-up communications, or to limit the use of your data to your specific request. Write to info@bajalegalsolutions.com or reply "STOP" to a WhatsApp message. We will confirm once your request has been applied.
Your ARCO Rights
You have the right to Access your personal data, to Rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete, to request its Cancellation, and to Object to its processing (together, "ARCO rights"). You may also revoke your consent.
To exercise these rights, send a request to info@bajalegalsolutions.com that includes:
- Your name and an email address or other means to receive our response.
- A copy of an identification document or, if a representative is acting for you, the representative's identification and proof of authority.
- A clear description of the personal data concerned and the right you wish to exercise.
- Any other information or document that helps us locate your data. For rectification requests, indicate the changes and provide supporting documents.
We will respond within 20 business days of receiving your request. If the request is granted, it will take effect within 15 business days after our response. Each of these periods may be extended once, for an equal period, when the circumstances justify it. Exercising ARCO rights is free of charge. Only reasonable reproduction or shipping costs may apply, and we normally respond by email or with electronic copies.
Cancellation is not always possible. For example, data may need to be kept when it is required for a contract you are a party to, when the law requires it, or to protect your legal interests. Cancelled data is first blocked and then deleted once the applicable legal retention period ends.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the Mexican authority responsible for personal data protection.
Confidentiality and Initial Inquiries
Submitting information through this website, email or WhatsApp does not create an attorney-client relationship. Until a conflict check is completed and representation is confirmed in writing, do not send confidential strategy, original documents or information you would not want disclosed.
If Baja Legal Solutions accepts a matter, information received during the professional relationship will be kept confidential according to the professional secrecy and other duties governing legal services in Mexico.
Cookies, Tracking and Do Not Track
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not allow third parties to track visitors across other websites.
Pages with forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Turnstile reviews browser and device signals to confirm that a person, not an automated program, is submitting the form. Cloudflare processes this information under its own privacy policy.
Because we do not track visitors over time or across third-party websites, this website does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Third-Party Services and Links
This website links to services operated by third parties, including WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps. Those services maintain their own privacy practices and may collect information when you visit them. Baja Legal Solutions does not control their policies or systems.
Data Retention and Security
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice. Inquiries that do not lead to representation are kept only as long as needed to respond, document the conflict check and meet legal obligations. Client files are kept for the periods required by applicable law and professional obligations, then blocked and deleted.
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data, and everyone who handles it must keep it confidential. No website, email or messaging service can guarantee absolute security. If a security breach significantly affects your financial or personal rights, we will inform you promptly so you can take steps to protect them.
Visitors Outside Mexico
Baja Legal Solutions is located in Mexico, and this notice is governed by Mexican law. If you contact us from the United States, Canada or another country, your personal data will be processed in Mexico and by service providers that may be located in other countries.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice to reflect legal changes or changes in our practices. Updates will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If we intend to use your personal data for a new purpose that requires consent, we will ask for your consent again before doing so.
A Spanish version of this notice is available on request.
